It all started with our career coaching programs, which aimed to help thousands of talented Filipino job seekers worldwide by building their entire lives starting with their careers. We provided them with the guidance and resources to help them find fulfilling careers that aligned with their passions and strengths. As we worked with these individuals, we began to realize that our approach could be expanded into something more holistic and centric to one's highest expression and life purpose.


We recognized that our clients' career aspirations were not separate from their personal aspirations; rather, they were intimately connected. Thus, we began to develop our ecosystem's proprietary discipline of study, metacogitology, which seeks to empower individuals to create self-mastery belief systems that align with their deepest values and aspirations. What is Metacogitology?

Metacogitology is a dynamic and interdisciplinary discipline that delves into the intricacies of human thinking, self-awareness, purpose-driven leadership, life purpose coaching, and the profound connection between cognition and the vast universe.


Etymology

The name "Metacogitology" is derived from the combination of two roots: "meta," which connotes self-reflection and transcendence, and "cogito," which is derived from the Latin phrase "cogito, ergo sum" (I think, therefore I am) discussed by Rene Descartes in his philosophical meditations.


Scope and Focus

Metacogitology focuses on exploring the unique cognitive abilities of individuals to construct, nurture, and share belief systems rooted in mindfulness and personal awareness, enabling them to comprehend not only themselves but also others and the cosmic reality that surrounds us. By delving into the depths of metacognition frameworks, coaching methodologies, coaching specializations, and various schools of thought, metacogitology empowers individuals to embark on a transformative journey towards self-mastery and purpose-driven leadership. The METACOGITOLOGIC Architecture™ is a comprehensive coaching, leadership, and lifestyle development framework designed to help practitioners create and scale their own self-mastery belief system or "metacogitology". It provides a flexible and adaptable structure for practitioners to follow, while also allowing for customization and personalization based on their own coaching methodology and philosophy.


At its core, the METACOGITOLOGIC Architecture™ emphasizes a holistic approach to coaching incorporating interdisciplinary frameworks from various fields based on the coach’s background, research interests, and points of view. It also places a strong emphasis on purpose-driven leadership promoting physical, psychological, and spiritual wellness through various exercises, postures, breathing techniques, meditation, mindfulness, and lifelong learning.


As of today, the only metacogitology in existence is the OCTA REALITY PROGRAMMING™ System -- a lifelong learning and purpose-driven leadership development system developed by Coach Danica Octa that has two main pillars.


The first is the CHECKPOINT™ Coaching Methodology, which is a comprehensive coaching approach that incorporates interdisciplinary frameworks such as philosophy, psychology, mathematics, physics, anthropology, and esoteric sciences to help individuals reach their full potential. The methodology empowers individuals to set clear and ambitious goals, eliminate obstacles, and remain accountable to themselves. The second pillar is the HIGHER SELF ALIGNMENT™ Metaphysical Philosophy, a lifestyle practice that promotes physical, psychological, and spiritual self-sustainability through various exercises, postures, breathing techniques, meditation, mindfulness, lifelong learning, and purpose-driven leadership. Together, these two pillars enable individuals to achieve greater alignment with the highest expression of themselves, leading to personal and professional fulfillment.


The architecture consists of a set of principles, methodologies, and practices that guide practitioners in creating their own coaching and leadership systems. The METACOGITOLOGIC Architecture™ ultimately provides practitioners with a framework for designing their own coaching programs, developing content, and delivering their services to clients.


The Highest Expression Awareness Framework™


The Highest Expression Awareness Framework™ (or HEAF™) is a powerful tool within the METACOGITOLOGIC Architecture™ designed to help individuals become the best version of themselves. This framework is built on the foundation of metacognition and mindfulness mastery, which is the ability to understand one's own thought processes and emotions.



The framework emphasizes the importance of identifying the three personas that influence an individual's mental models. These personas are Survival Mode, Thriving Mode, and Evolving Mode. It is crucial to recognize that all of these personas exist within an individual simultaneously. However, the conscious decision to work on the self determines which persona leads the individual's life direction.


It is important to emphasize that the three personas of HEAF™, are unique to each individual. Some may prefer to use other concepts or frameworks, such as the id, ego, and superego tripartite concept of Sigmund Freud, Martin Heidegger's Dasein Philosophy, the String Theory’s multiple geometric dimensions, or even religious teachings like the Holy Trinity. Alternatively, individuals may choose to develop their own unique framework that aligns with their personal beliefs and experiences, as the framework encourages individuals to explore and discover what works best for them. The three modes are defined as the following:

  1. Survival Mode: This persona is focused on meeting basic needs and surviving in the present moment. In this mode, an individual may be preoccupied with safety, security, and the acquisition of resources necessary for survival.

  2. Thriving Mode: This persona is focused on growth and flourishing. In this mode, an individual is seeking to achieve personal goals and aspirations, and is often driven by a desire for success and achievement.

  3. Evolving Mode: This persona is focused on self-actualization and personal evolution. In this mode, an individual is seeking to transcend their current state and develop a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them. They may be focused on spiritual growth, personal development, or the pursuit of meaning and purpose in life.

In addition to recognizing these personas, the framework also emphasizes the regulation and sustainability of emotions. It involves discovering the individual’s emotional model and compartmentalizing them through identifying the Intrapersonal Mood, Interpersonal Mood, and Transpersonal Mood. By being aware of these different stages, individuals can better manage their emotions and develop a healthier relationship with them. They are defined as the following:

  1. Intrapersonal Mood: This refers to the mood or emotional state that an individual experiences within themselves. It is the internal state of being that is not directly influenced by external factors. Examples of intrapersonal moods include feeling happy, sad, anxious, or content.

  2. Interpersonal Mood: This refers to the mood or emotional state that an individual experiences in relation to others. It is the emotional state that is influenced by the presence or actions of others. Examples of interpersonal moods include feeling connected, rejected, angry, or loved.

  3. Transpersonal Mood: This refers to the mood or emotional state that an individual experiences in relation to the universe or a higher power. It is the emotional state that is influenced by the individual's connection to something greater than themselves. Examples of transpersonal moods include feeling a sense of awe, wonder, or spiritual connection.

The framework also acknowledges that individuals go through different states of mind as they evolve. The ultimate goal is to reach the Transcendental State, which is similar to the feeling of being in “heaven” or a state of being characterized by peace, loving kindness, happiness, and a sense of interconnectedness. However, there is also the possibility of experiencing the Dissonance State, which is similar to the feeling of being in “hell” or a state of being that is experienced as confusion, emptiness, isolation, and corruption of the soul.


While HEAF™ is a powerful tool for individual personal development, it is important to note that it operates solely at the micro and individualistic level. To address the macro and collective level, a complementary framework has been developed called the Revolutionary Governance Framework™.



The Revolutionary Governance Framework™ recognizes that each individual's highest expression forms a powerful consciousness that can serve as a persona for a larger level of consciousness, such as teams, families, organizations, countries, and international unions.


This framework acknowledges the potential for individuals to come together and form a collective consciousness that can drive positive change on a larger scale.


What does this all have to do with bringing the world to the next industrial revolution?

As individuals become more adept at using HEAF™ in the respective metacogitology of practice to understand themselves, they can eventually see how to use it on a macro scale using the Revolutionary Governance Framework™.
